DPD Polska Sp. z o.o. is a company located in Warsaw, Poland. It is part of Geopost, the second-largest international courier network that delivers packages worldwide while adhering to sustainable development principles. Geopost is owned by the French postal service, La Poste, and generated revenues of €15.6 billion in 2022. In 2018, DPD Polska introduced two new services for businesses: DPD Today, which guarantees same-day delivery in major cities, and Night Deliveries, which facilitates daily sales for large retail chains. In 2019, the company expanded its urban logistics by increasing the number of DPD Pickup Urban Branches, where deliveries are made by bicycles, scooters, and on foot. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, DPD Polska simplified procedures to ensure the safety of senders and recipients. Deliveries are now made "to the door" with the recipient's consent or, for "hand delivery" shipments, using a one-time PIN code. In 2021, DPD Polska launched the DPD Food service. The company will celebrate its 32nd anniversary in the Polish market in 2023. It began its operations as Masterlink Express in 1991 and was acquired by the Swedish Post Group in 1998. This acquisition allowed for further dynamic growth, service improvement, and expansion of the range of services offered. In July 2002, the company became a representative of DPD, gaining access to a network covering over 30 European countries. The acquisition of 100% shares in Air Cargo Poland in October 2002 expanded the range of services to include customs and forwarding activities - by air, sea, and road. Since May 2004, the French holding company GeoPost, owned by La Poste, has been the sole owner of Masterlink. In 2007, the company officially changed its name to DPD Polska Sp. z o.o. The DPD Polska group includes the courier company DPD and the forwarding company ACP Global Forwarding. DPD Polska has a network of nearly 24,000 DPD Pickup points for sending and receiving packages, including urban branches and parcel lockers. The Pickup network is designed for individual customers and small businesses.
