Famot Pleszew Sp. z o.o. is a manufacturing company located in Pleszew. It was founded in the early 1920s and initially specialized in producing tools for wood treatment. In the 1960s, the company shifted its focus to the construction and production of high-quality turning machines for the metal-cutting industry. Famot's turning machines are known for their reliability and precision, meeting the high requirements of customers worldwide. In 1999, Famot joined the DMG MORI Group, which allowed for further technological development, implementation of digital solutions, and increased production capacity. Today, the factory in Pleszew is a rapidly growing facility that offers CLX turning machines, CMX V vertical milling machines, CMX U universal milling machines, and innovative automation systems such as the Pallet Handling System PH 150 and Gantry Loader GX 6. With a total area of over 53,000 sqm and integrated digital solutions, Famot is one of the largest and most modern manufacturing facilities within the DMG MORI Group. Additionally, Famot serves as a strategic supplier of components for other factories within the DMG MORI Group. In 2019, the company expanded its machining capacity by 52,000 hours and began producing very large components up to 40 tons and 10 meters in length in the new XXL Machining Hall. Precise machining is crucial to ensure the high accuracy of the final machines. Famot has a rich history spanning over 140 years, and many employees have been with the company for generations.
