Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland is the Polish manufacturing subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz. Its core business segments currently include production of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines for passenger cars, as well as batteries for electric vehicles, produced in the plant located in Jawor (Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone). As of 2025, the company is undergoing expansion: the plant in Jawor is being transformed into a full-scale assembly facility for light electric vans under Mercedes-Benz Vans, expected to start production in 2026. This expansion reflects a strategic shift toward electrification and strengthening the firm's presence in light commercial electric vehicles in Europe. The geographic scope of its operations is global through the global Mercedes supply and distribution chain; the Jawor plant contributes to production for the wider Mercedes-Benz group. The strategic positioning of the company is as a key manufacturing hub in Central Europe for both conventional powertrains and, increasingly, electrified light-commercial vehicles, aligning with wider industry trends toward electric mobility.
