It was incorporated in 1952 as Wojskowe Zakłady Mechaniczne and has a long tradition of repairing, modernizing, and producing special products for the military. In 2007-2014, Rosomak S.A. participated in the Polish Military Contingent mission in Afghanistan, where they were responsible for providing service support for the Rosomak Armored Personnel Carriers. Due to the excellent reputation and recognition of their product, the company changed its name from "Wojskowe Zakłady Mechaniczne S.A." to "Rosomak S.A." in 2014. By 2022, they have delivered over 900 Armored Wheeled Transporters in various versions. Rosomak S.A. specializes in the production and servicing of military vehicles, providing solutions based on the latest technology and extensive knowledge and research.
