SSAB Poland Sp. z o.o. is the Polish subsidiary of SSAB, a specialised Nordic and North American steel company. The entity functions primarily as a sales and distribution organisation and processing centre for SSABs portfolio of high strength and wear resistant steels on the Polish market. Its business segments include the distribution of advanced high strength steels and quenched and tempered steels in the form of plates, sheets, coils, tubes and profiles, as well as value added services provided through SSAB Shape, such as cutting, bending, welding and component fabrication tailored to customer specifications. SSAB Poland markets and supplies well known SSAB brands including Hardox wear plate, Strenx high strength structural steel, Domex and Docol steels for automotive and engineering applications, Prelaq coated products and Toolox tool and engineering steel, and supports the Hardox Wearparts network of partners producing wear parts from Hardox plate. The company serves customers in sectors such as construction and infrastructure, heavy transport, mining and quarrying, agriculture, lifting and material handling and general engineering throughout Poland and into selected neighbouring markets, acting as a link between SSAB mills and local end users and fabricators. SSAB Poland operates from its base in Zorawina near Wroclaw and uses stocking facilities, processing capabilities and technical support to shorten lead times and help customers optimise designs and reduce weight and lifecycle costs through the use of high strength steels. Strategically, the company supports SSABs global focus on premium high strength and fossil free steel by promoting the use of advanced steels in Polish industry, emphasising material efficiency, durability and reduced environmental impact and building long term technical and commercial partnerships with key customers and distributors.
