Gaza-based The National Bank, set up in 2005, is a Palestinian bank operating through 11 branches throughout the West Bank. Apart from the traditional banking services, TNB has put emphasis on digitalizing its services by offering e-banking, mobile banking and an extensive ATM network. Its shareholders structure include important institutional investors from the banking and telecommunication fields. The bank has been operating in its current legal form since 2012, after the merger of Al Rafah Microfinance and the Palestinian Investment Bank. At the beginning, it was focused on microfinance but subsequently adopted a larger range of banking services. Its services include financing small projects, production loans and family loans, saving programs, investment funds, life insurance and Western Union Services. The Bank also offers trust funds market services, currency exchange services and local stock market services.
