The Vegetable Oil Industries Co. Ltd. (VOIC) is a Public Shareholding Company located in the eastern industrial area of Nablus. It was established in 1953 and covers a land area of 10 acres. In 1961, under the supervision of Zweifer, a Dutch company, VOIC modernized its machinery and trained Palestinian labors and technicians in the Netherlands. This helped localize production and adopt international standards. In 1985, the company began refining and filling edible vegetable oils after purchasing modern machinery. VOIC produces two categories of high-quality products: Vegetable Ghee and Shortening, and Liquid Vegetable Oils. The production of Ghee and Oils follows HACCP and ISO 9002-2000 standards. VOIC employs approximately 75 workers.
