ARGOS SA was set up in 1990 by Government decision following the split of the former Fabrica de Tricotaje SOMESUL into: SC ARGOS SA (the former division of Underwear manufacture) and SC TRICOTAJE SOMESUL SA (the former division of knitted apparel manufacture).
In 2004 Jolidon bought the majority stake of it main competitor on the Romanian market, ARGOS SA.
