The Uranium National Company S.A. was set up by the end of December 1997, as the administration of uranium mineral resources existing in Romania. The activity of the company is the: production of devices for domestic use (radiometers, emanometers, spectrometers), physical and chemical analysis, radiometric measurements on the recovered samples, on flow samples and on final products, elaboration of environmental surveys, impact survey studies, personnel health status monitoring and studies concerning this fact and the conservation works with the aim of closing out and environmental restoration for activity ceased objectives.
