Retele Electrice Dobrogea SA (Romania)

E-Distributie Dobrogea SA (formerly known as Enel Distribuţie Dobrogea SA) was set up in 2001 as one of Electrica SA's subsidiaries. As a result of separating the activities of electricity distribution and sell, according to the European and Romanian laws, starting from July 1st 2007, Enel Electrica Dobrogea was reorganized and became a distribution company under the name Enel Distribuţie Dobrogea SA. In October 2007, Enel, through its subsidiary Enel Investment Holding, finalized the acquisition of 100% of Blue Line SRL in Dobrogea. E-Distributie Dobrogea manages and modernizes the power grids in three areas, Banat, Dobrogea and Muntenia Sud, with the objective of improving the quality of the distribution service. It distributes approximately 15 TWh of electricity per year through the nearly 90,000 km power grid and a number of 274 stations.
