Electrocontact was established in 1 January 1973, from the former Enterprise of Electric Apparatus of Low Tension Electrocontact. In 1990 the Enterprise of Electric Apparatus of Low Tension Electrocontact becomes a joint stock company under the name of SC Electrocontact SA. The company manufacturers low voltage equipment, electronic products. Since December 1998 is quoted on Bucharest Stock Exchange.
