ABB has been present on the Romanian market through Asea and Brown Boveri companies, and since 1992, through a local organization. ABB Romania has been successfully involved in projects for the national energy system, for which ABB has also obtained the financing. The beneficiaries of the ABB solutions are the large Romanian companies in the energy domain: Electrica, Transelectrica, Termoelectrica, Hidroelectrica etc. In 2008 ABB Romania has established a service department service activities aimed at Romanian market for all five divisions.
