Institutul National De Cercetari Aerospatiale "Elie Carafoli" - I.N.C.A.S. SA company operates on the Romanian market since 1991. The main activity of the company is Research and development on natural sciences and engineering, and the company operates mostly in Bucharest. In 1991 the Aviation Institute was reorganized along with the whole aeronautical industry. As a result , a new company has been established, namely ORCAS -The Romanian Office for Aerospace Research, meant to coordinate all the aeronautical research and to represent the Romanian aeronautical activity abroad.
