In 1990, Ion and Manuela Nestor, both graduates of the University of Bucharest Law School, faced the challenges of Romania’s sudden onset of transition to market economy. They responded by creating the first law partnership in post-revolutionary Romania and were joined five years later by two American lawyers, Harvard graduates Andrew Kingston and Patricia Petersen. In 2001, the firm further evolved through its merger with the firm of Ana Diculescu-Sova, who complemented NNDKP’s existing commercial practice with her highly respected and successful litigation team.
