Pakmaya begin construction of first yeast factories outside Turkey in 1994, in Romania, the city Pascani Iasi. The manufacture starts in 1998, producing the same fresh yeast compressed hitherto imported in Romania. SC ROMPAK Ltd, part of Pak Holding of Turkey, is the only manufacturer of yeast from Romania, important producer of bakery improvers and premixes for bakery, pastry and confectionery.
