The Pasteur Institute of Bucharest is the Romanian research, manufacture and distribution company for veterinary products, serving animal welfare, public health and environment protection. The Institute was founded in 1895 within the Veterinary Faculty as the Institute for Animal Vaccines.
In 2002, over 90% stake is bought by the Romanian-American company A&S International 2000 SRL, the Romanian State keeping only the golden share for the research and diagnosis activity.
In 2002, Pasteur Institute achieved ISO 9001:2000 and is in the final stage for completion of GMP requirements.
