Tractebel Engineering SA (Romania)

Formerly also known as Trapec which was set up in 1997, as a purely private stock company for engineering activities. The company is nowadays owned 100% by GDF Suez, through Tractebel Engineering . Tractebl Engineering, Romania is active in energy engineering (60%) and in infrastructure (40%). Tractebel Engineering has been present in Romania since 1997, following the 85% take-over of Trapec. Trapec initially focused on infrastructure projects, but the services portfolio was rapidly broadened to include power projects. These currently represent 55% of the business. In 2007, Tractebel Engineering became the only shareholder of Trapec. In October 2009, Trapec took over the Tractebel Engineering name and branding.
