The Group's (the Company and its subsidiaries) principal business activity is the development and operation of hypermarket and supermarket stores in Russia. It engages in the retail sale of food, beverages and non-food products through its chain on hypermarkets.
Its hypermarkets are located mainly in high-density residential areas on major highways, targeting the daily/weekly shopping of a diverse range of customers. It operates three hypermarket formats which are standard, compact and supercompact approximately 7,000 sq. m., 5,000 sq. m. and 3,000 sq. m. of selling space respectively.

1993
The business was founded in 1993, headquartered in St. Petersburg.
2003
The Company is a company limited by shares incorporated in British Virgin Island on 16 July 2003 with the name Istochnik Limited.
2006
The Company s name was subsequently changed to Lenta Limited on 24 October 2006.
2014
The Company's ordinary shares in the form of Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs) are listed on the London Stock Exchange (ticker: LNTA; LNTR) on 5 March 2014 and Moscow Exchange (ticker: LNTA) on 6 March 2014.
2021 :
The Company has changed name to Lenta International PJSC ( Lenta IPJSC ) with effective on 17th February 2021.
2023
The Company has gone into cancellation in London Stock Exchange with effect 4 May 2023 and Delisted on 30th June 2023.
