Slovenia-based chemical-processing company Cinkarna Celje d.d. was established in 1873. It was originally engaged in metallurgy, but after 1968 chemical processing became the company’s primary activity. Currently its core business is the production and marketing of titanium dioxide pigment.The company has one wholly-owned subsidiary, Cinkarna-Kvarc d.o.o., which is based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and representative offices in Serbia and Poland.Cinkarna Celje d.d. transformed into a joint-stock company in 1997. It generates more than EUR 150 million in sales revenue annually, with exports accounting for over 85% of the total amount.
