Feniks is a market oriented medium size foundry. New owners' support and our own development enabled us to begin with Omco's main activity, the production of glazier mould casts, in a very short time. In this area, Omco is the biggest European company and belongs to the highest quality class. Therefore, the production of glazier mould casts must meet the high internal standards of Omco trademark in our foundry as well.We complement the remaining, already traditional mould programme for hydraulics industry, pumping techniques, electric motors, and general machine construction needs with the development of new quality alloy grey iron and ductile iron. The production and development of continuous cast bars is peforming similarly. In the last two years new glazier and ductile iron qualities have been developed.We acquired ISO 9001/14001 quality certificates in 2001. By doing so, we proved that we could satisfy our customers' demands in terms of product quality as well as environmental issues. Quality certificates are making us continuously develop and improve operational quality and environmental protection.In 2001/02 we also started carrying out our planned investments in the foundry. New sand preparation and two new heat-treatment furnaces were installed, and a partial grindery reconstruction was performed. According to the investment programme we will expand our automatic moulding line, modernize casting system, and introduce ductile iron production with cored-wire process this year.
