Slovenia-based Etol d.d. is a producer of essential oils, essences, plant extracts, food colours and pharmaceuticals. Its products are used in the manufacturing of soft and alcoholic drinks, confectionery and dairy products, meat products, food dyes, cosmetics and cleaning agents.
The company began operations as a state-owned enterprise under the name Etol Celje in 1945. Etol d.d. was registered as a joint-stock company in 1996 and its shares were listed on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange in February 1997.
The company has subsidiaries in Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, Macedonia, Russia and Kazakhstan. Etol d.d. is present in more than 47 countries worldwide through representative offices or companies in mixed ownership.
