Slovenian provider of electronic communications Telekom Slovenije d.d. was registered as a separate state-owned legal entity in 1995 after the split of PTT Slovenije into Posta Slovenije and Telekom Slovenije. Upon establishment Telekom Slovenije became a 100% owner of Mobitel, a mobile operator founded by PTT Slovenije in 1991.
Telekom Slovenije was privatized in 1998 and was transformed from a public enterprise to a public limited company. It digitalized 100% of its network in 2000. The company’s shares began trading on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on October 2, 2006.
In addition to Slovenia, Telekom Slovenije has operations in several countries across Southeastern Europe, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania and Croatia.
It providers high-end mobile, fixed and IP communications, multimedia content, and services to residential and business users.
