Tesh D.o.o. (Slovenia)

Tesh D.o.o., located in Sostanj, is a limited company with Holding Slovenske elektrarne as its sole member. The company is managed by the General Manager and the Managing Director. Its main activity is the generation of electricity and thermal energy for district heating. The Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant, with an installed power of 1029 MW, generates approximately one third of the energy in the country on average. During periods of crisis, it can cover more than half of the national demand. The power plant produces an average annual electricity production ranging from 3,500 to 3,800 GWh. Additionally, it produces an average annual thermal energy of 300-350 GWh for district heating in the Šaleška Valley. To achieve this production, the power plant uses between 3.5 and 3.8 million tons of coal. The operational readiness of the generators at Tesh D.o.o. is comparable to higher-ranked European thermal power plants.
