Foxconn Slovakia, spol. s r.o., based in Nitra, is a manufacturing subsidiary of the global Foxconn – Hon Hai Technology Group and one of Slovakia's major electronics producers. The company provides complex electronics manufacturing services including development support, printed-circuit board assembly, final assembly, testing and logistics for consumer electronics, smart household appliances, automotive LED lighting, embedded IoT modules and other electronic products. Historically, the operation builds on the former Sony Slovakia television manufacturing plant and was transformed under Foxconn ownership in 2016; since then it has developed into a high-volume production site supplying LCD televisions and other devices for the European market. The facility employs several hundred to a few thousand staff and is active in audio and video equipment manufacturing as well as broader computer and electronic product manufacturing segments. Foxconn Slovakia positions itself as a technology-driven contract manufacturer offering scalable, automation-supported production, robotics and IoT integration capabilities to global brands, with a strategic focus on cost-optimized, reliable and flexible manufacturing services from its Central European base.
