KERKOSAND spol. s r.o. - extraction and treatment of quartz sand in Sajdikove Humence. Extraction and treatment works were established in 1970 as part of the Czecho-Slovak Ceramics Works. The process of privatisation made it possible for the company KERKO a.s. Kosice to acquire interest in the works. The company has been independent since 1997. KERKOSAND spol. s r.o. has been part of Quarzwerke Group as of March 2001.
