Poprad-Tatry International Airport, the highest located international airport within Central Europe for airliners (718 metres above sea level). The airport is open all seasons and it is capable to accommodate most of short and medium range airliners with capacity up to about 200 passengers. Maximum capacity per hour of the terminal building is 300 passengers (150 departure / 150 arrival). The airport is all year round visited by private and business flights, mainly from Germany, France, Belgium and Austria, as well as aeroclubs and flight training schools. The airport serves as a base of helicopter emergency medical service, Poprad Aeroclub and sightseeing flights.
