OMV Slovensko, s.r.o. is a subsidiary of the Austrian company OMV A.G. WIEN. OMV Slovensko has its roots in the former Czechoslovakia, with two companies being established in 1991 as foreign oil companies in Slovakia. After the division of Czechoslovakia and the establishment of the independent Slovak Republic, the company names changed to OMV Slovensko, s.r.o. and OMV Slovensko Čerpacie stanice, s.r.o. In 1995, the company names were changed again to OMV Slovensko, s.r.o., OMV Slovensko Čerpacie stanice, s.r.o., and OMV - Benzinol, spol. s r.o. Currently, only OMV Slovensko, s.r.o. operates in Slovakia. The company's main activities include the construction and operation of gas stations and trading with customers, which involves the sale of fuels, heating oils, lubricants, and other products. OMV Slovensko also provides customers with expert advice, prompt deliveries, technical support, and warranties. The company is known for its high-quality products and services, as well as its commitment to environmental protection. OMV gas stations meet strict ecological, safety, and aesthetic criteria. In 2003, ARAL gas stations were fully integrated into the OMV network in Slovakia, and currently, there are 90 OMV gas stations in the country. OMV has a 99% stake in the company Avanti, but Avanti gas stations operate independently with their own structure and business policy.
