Rettenmeier Tatra Timber, s. r. o. is the Slovak production company of the German Rettenmeier Group, operating a major sawmill and timber processing plant in Liptovsky Hradok in the region between the Low and High Tatras. The plant processes high grade spruce and other softwood logs into a wide assortment of industrial and construction timber products. Its portfolio includes sawn timber for structural applications, rough and planed timber for construction and packaging, lamellas for glued laminated timber, beams, boards and planks, formwork elements, planed timber for various industrial uses and outdoor wood products, as well as energy wood such as certified wooden pellets produced from sawmill by products. The facility is integrated into the Rettenmeier product families for industrial wood, outdoor wood, construction timber and energy wood, following the group wide zero waste principle where all parts of the log, including bark and sawdust, are utilised. Products from Tatra Timber are supplied to industrial processors, building material merchants, DIY chains and other customers across Europe. Strategically, Rettenmeier Tatra Timber, s. r. o. is positioned as an important regional production hub for the group, combining access to high quality forest resources with modern sawmill and planing technologies and contributing to the group strategy of delivering sustainable, certified solid wood products with high processing depth for construction, industry and energy markets.
