Tajba, a.s., based in Cana near Kosice, is an agricultural trading and services company active across the crop input, commodity trading and selected processing segments. The company specialises in the sale and storage of plant commodities such as grains and oilseeds, the sale of industrial fertilisers (granulated and liquid) and plant protection products, as well as seeds for crop production. It operates large storage capacities of around 150,000 tons for plant commodities and approximately 25,000 tons for granulated fertilisers and 4,000 tons for liquid fertilisers, which enable year-round logistics and supply to agricultural producers. In Michalany it runs a processing line for full-fat toasted soy with a capacity of about 1,500 tons per month, producing protein feed ingredients for livestock nutrition. Through its subsidiaries it is also active in primary agricultural production on roughly 2,400 hectares of arable land, and in limestone fertiliser production and stone quarrying for construction, complementing its fertiliser and input portfolio. Tajba, a.s. serves more than two hundred business partners and supplies a significant share of agricultural enterprises in its region with fertilisers and other inputs, positioning itself as a key regional distributor and logistics partner for farmers. Strategically, the company focuses on integrated agricultural trade – combining commodity purchasing, storage, input supply and selected processing – with an emphasis on long-term relationships, flexible logistics, and the ability to balance positions between producers, processors and end users in Slovakia and neighbouring markets.
