Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. was founded by delimitation of the former state company Javorina in 1992, when the public limited company Ski Jasna a.s. was founded. In 2003 the trade name was changed to Jasna Nizke Tatry, a.s., in 2009 to Tatry mountain resorts, a.s. Company Tatranske Lanove Drahy and Tatry Mountain Resorts merged as of the beginning of May 2010. The company runs hotels, lifts and cableways on the northern and southern side of the Chopok peak, which is currently the biggest Slovak ski centre. Considering infrastructure, Jasna is divided into four resorts: Chopok north Zahradky, Jasna, Otupne and Chopok south. The company provides also additional services like in winter ski and snowboard schools and kindergartens, rental, left-luggage offices, service, sports shops, fun attractions, in summer Bike Park, bike and scooter rent, sports shop, fun activities, trampolines, archery, paintball, conference services and catering establishments.
