Teplaren, a.s. Povazska Bystrica was established in 1997 under the name Povazske strojarne, ENERGETIKA, a.s. Since 2000, has been operating under the Teplaren, a.s. Povazska Bystrica name. In addition to heat production and distribution, the company also proceeds the electricity production, gas and compressed air distribution. Since 2009 it has been a subsidiary of Grafobal Group Energy.
