Banque Nationale Agricole (BNA) was founded in 1959 by the government in order to encourage the development of the national agricultural sector. Later on, bank started financing of various sectors of the economy. The bank operates 148 branches throughout the country, employing a staff of 2800. The government retains full management control. BNA is Tunisia`s largest bank in terms of its branch network and second largest in terms of assets and capital.
