Altinyag was established in 1962 to produce liquid vegetable oil. Later It focused on production of raw oil and halted the packed oil production for end-user and became supplier for its former competitors in cooking oil sector, while expanding its area of activity by offering products to the energy, chemistry and paint industries. The company has also started production of semi-refined vegetable oil for biodiesel fuel.
In the production plant located on over 31,000 sq.m area (15,000 sq.m covered area) in Izmir, the company continues producing raw vegetable oil, semi-refined and fully refined oil from oily vegetable seeds such as soya bean, sunflower, canola, linseed, flax-seed and corn seeds. It also manufactures feed for animal stock breeders under the Altinyem brand. The production capacity is about 350 tons of oily seed processing, according to the seed type and refining approximately 350 tons of vegetable oil according to product type. The company has private analysis laboratory and exports Its products to 40 countries.
