Camis Elektrik Uretim A.S. (Turkiye)

Camis Elektrik Uretim started operations in the second half of 1997, with building Thrakya (30 MW), Topkapi (12 MW) and Cayirova (12 MW) power plants, launching Sisecam's Electricity Generation Project. In 2007 Cayirova and Topkapi power plants were sold. In 2009 was completed the second line of Mersin Cogeneration Power plant, with 123 MW of electricity and 215 tons/hour of steam capacity to meet the increasing steam needs of Mersin Soda Sanayi A.S., part of Sise Cam Group.
The Company was licensed as power generation company by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK-Enerji Piyasasi Duzenleme Kurumu). Trakya and Mersin Cogeneration Power plants are currently operating with total capacity of 2.3 billion kWh/year of electricity and 3.7 million tons/year steam generation.
Camis Elelektrik Uretim is selling annually 2.3 billion kWh of electricity to the consumers in the liberalized energy markets in Turkey.
