Founded in June 1996, the company changed its name from the original one Sheng Tai Co., Ltd. to Sheng Tai Holdings Co., Ltd. in November 1998 and to Sheng Tai Technology Co., Ltd. in September 1999. In May 2000, department of electronic parts was set up engaging in the agency business of Semiconductor components. It obtained the agency authority of LCDMONITORSCALER from Dominance Technology in 2000, and of POWERREGULATOR and DC / DCCONVERTER from Yuanchuang in 2002, and of USB2.0 CONTROLLER from Realtek Technology in 2003. Besides, in November 2002, it successfully developed the disk-type recorder. It plans to develop the new products: digital image processing systems, remote monitoring systems, CCTV surveillance systems, home automation / security systems, video transmission / storage / compression system.
