In October 1997 DrayTek was established. In June 1998 it introduced the USB interface with ISDN terminal adaptor (TA) for the sale with Windows98. In October it launched Apple's iMac version USBTA. In January 1999 it launched the USB-interface high ISDNTA204 products. In September it launched ISDNROUTER products. In 2000 ISDNROUTERVigor2000 won PCDirect first prize. In May,2001 DrayTek entered the field of IEEE802.11b wireless LAN and launched the wireless LAN router of Vigor2200WIEEE802.11b.In January 2002, the company was awarded the GrandPrix (Grand Slam) for Vigor2200W. In February PCPRO British magazine gave Vigor2200USB Six Star Choice Award. In January 2003 the company went listed.
