The company was established March 16, 1974 engagingin the production of organic pigment cakes for customers further processing into water-based modulation pigment.In 1988 to fulfill the corporate social responsibility, it expanded waste water treatment equipment to enhance wastewater treatment. In January 1991 Commission approved of the public offering of stock. In April 1993 it set up a subsidiary in Hong Kong (South Chang Chemical Co., Ltd.). In April 1999, its stock went listed in OTC market. In October 1999, it was approved with the license to set up Wuxi Tianlaibao Chemical Co., Ltd. In September it established Shenzhen Yanbao Fine Plastic (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
