Highlight Tech Corp. was founded on May 29, 1997. After its program of Mainland China investment was approved by Investment commission, MOEA in April 2001, the company set up HTC Shanghai branch in Waigaoqiao TAX Free Trade Zone in May, which also included service center, warehouse of free trade product, office and dormitory for supporting employees. In January 2002 the company was registered as Emerging Market Stock in Taiwan and in December 2002 it was officially listed in OTC. The company is principally engaged in the manufacturing of vacuum components, vacuum devices and semiconductor devices, as well as provision of technical services for semiconductor and optoelectronic equipment. Its vacuum components are used for manufacturing products in vacuum environment and the vacuum devices are used in coating processes. Its semiconductor devices are used in assembly processes of integrated circuits (ICs), light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and radio frequency identification (RFID) products. Its technical services include cleaning and recovering services for semiconductor and optoelectronic equipment. It is also engaged in the marketing of vacuum pumps used as core components of vacuum systems. The company distributes its products in the domestic market and to overseas markets, including the rest of Asia, the Americas and Europe.
