Leofoo Development Co., Ltd. (Taiwan, China)

The Leofoo Development Co., Ltd was founded in 1968 and went public in Dec.1988. The company was set up in 1972 as Leofoo Hotel, running hotels and restaurants. In 1979, it invested the national biggest Leofoo Village Wild Animal Park in Kuansi, Hsinchu. In 1985, it incorporated Leofoo Village Company Limited, and changed its name to the Leofoo Development Co., Ltd. In year 1989, in responding to Government’s encouragement of expanding recreational tourism business policies and the lack of large-sized recreational park that is suitable for the whole family, Leofoo Village undergoes a comprehensive re-construction plan and builds the first recreational theme park of the country. In 1994, Leofoo Village entrusted Battaglia Associate Inc. Designing Company in America to re-construct the theme park and presented itself in a brand-new style, Leofoo Village Theme Park, with over 100 acres. It has six different cultural customs as the main attraction, Wild West, South Pacific, Arabian Kingdom, China Town, Fairy Tale Town and African Safari. With the six different main attractions, Leofoo has become the first recreational park that combines both Zoo Park and recreational park together in the Asia region. Because the theme park provides such services, Leofoo Village is famous for its excellent service quality since 1996 and won the annual best recreational tourism park evaluated by the Taiwan Government each year. Besides, in cooperation with the trend of Movie business and providing more chances for movie-selection, its subcompany Changchun Theatre changed from double halls to four halls in 1996, and began to run in 1996. Since 1989, with the planning and evaluation of Futurist Ride & Show Co., Ltd. and Battaglia Associates Inc., the company started the New Leofoo Village Development Scheme, aiming at family traveling, and the scheme began to run in 1994.
