Sunmax Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded on Feb. 6, 2001, engagingin the production of collagen as cosmetic raw materials and biomedical grade collagen. It has a production base in Taiwan Tainan Science Park. In July 2006, it set up Xiangzan Company in Beijing to develop the mainland market. Its stock went public on Oct. 18, 2006. The company is currently the only manufacturer of beauty-purpose collagen both in Taiwan and in Mainland China, the main market still in Taiwan. Except with GMP certification , the collagen produced by the company obtained European CE and ISO13485: 2003 certification.
