Formerly known as the University of Optical Glasses, the company was established in August 1997 dealing with the optics, optometry and ophthalmology business. In August 1997,it introduced the U.S. VISX's excimer laser refractive surgical instruments and began the development of laser vision correction. In December 1999 it was renamed "University of Micron Technology". In 2003 it had Eye cooperation with Cathay Pacific Medical Center. In November 2004 the company went listed. It established "e - University" brand channel and formed the university science channel marketing. Its R & D is divided into three areas: the biotechnology industry in sight, optical glasses industry and ophthalmic medical industry. The main product development strategy is involved in the eye laser, medical cosmetic, glasses and vision nutritional supplements.
