Uganda Securities Exchange Limited is the principal stock exchange in Uganda, located in Kampala. It was established in May 1997 and licensed to operate as an approved Stock Exchange in June 1997 by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Uganda. In 2017, it was registered as a public limited liability company and approved by the CMA to operate as a demutualized Exchange under the laws of Uganda. The main purpose of the company is to provide an orderly, transparent, and efficient market for companies looking to raise finances and investors looking to provide capital.
