Cementos del Plata S.A. is a company within the ANCAP group (Administración Nacional de Combustibles, Alcohol y Pórtland de la R.O.del Uruguay) that sells and distributes cement, clinker, and other products manufactured by the Portland Division of ANCAP. The Portland Division of ANCAP has two manufacturing plants located in the departments of Paysandú and Lavalleja, as well as a packaging, storage, and distribution plant in Montevideo, near the A.F.E. station of the same name. Cementos del Plata S.A. operates sales outlets in these three locations. Since 2013, the company has also been producing and selling quicklime from its plant in the Department of Treinta y Tres, expanding its business to include the industrialization and commercialization of lime. This industry serves the demand for this product in the external market.
