UNG Petro LLC is a leading Uzbek fuel retail company, founded in 2019 as part of a government restructuring of the state oil and gas sector. Headquartered in Tashkent, it operates a network of approximately 78 petrol stations across Uzbekistan, serving both conventional fuel and CNG customers. In March 2024, the company was fully privatized and sold to Petroleum Technology Group LLC, which is owned by Doniyor Komilov, son of a prominent public official. The acquisition transferred ownership from the state-owned Uzbekneftegaz to Petroleum Technology Group. Petroleum Technology Group is a consultancy and management firm registered in October 2023. UNG Petro also handled over 200,000 tons of automotive fuel sales annually at its petrol stations and employed more than 1,500 people as part of its national operations
