It is a subsidiary of Mercantil Servicios Financieros, the first and most complete financial services company in Venezuela with a presence in nine countries in the Americas and Europe. With 92 years of financial activity, Mercantil, CA, Banco Universal has, by June 30, 2017, more than five million customers using its products and services through a network of channels composed of 240 offices nationwide. and 1,090 ATMs. Since its foundation in 1925, it has participated through financing for trade and services, construction, agriculture, tourism and manufacturing in Venezuela. In addition, it maintains products and credit facilities for natural persons for the purchase of vehicles and homes. Mercantil, C.A., Banco Universal is the issuer of Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club credit cards and has a branch in Curacao and representative offices located in Bogota, Lima and Sao Paulo.
