The subject engages in producing garments products (knitted tee shirts, pants, infant wear, dresses, etc.) for famous brands (Target, Gap, Macy's, JCP, Kohl's…). According to our investigation, Chutex imports goods by type of processing, then delivers all raw materials to a company located in an export processing zone, free of tariffs for reprocessing and receives finished products for export. So, it has resolved tax arrears with Binh Duong Customs Department.In Year 2000, Ms. Lily Chu had been involved in locating suitable land to expand Chutex facilities in Vietnam. Ms Chu leaded the Project Team to design and construct Chutex's Vietnam factory. The total built-up area was approximately 30,000sq.m. The factory was completed in Year 2001. In Year 2002, Ms Chu again leaded the Project Team in expanding Chutex's Vietnam factory by another 15,000sq.m.Mr. Chu Shiu Shan, Chutex's founder, has two sons (Dr. Chu Yinglong opened up Raja Brana in Indonesia and Mr. Chu Ying Piao established Chin Heng Garments in Singapore during 1972). Chin Heng Garments Factory Pte., Ltd is the first factory of the Chutex group, the second is Fesyen Melati in Malaysia in 1989, the third is it and final is Chutex Enterprises (Kunshan) Co. Ltd in 2003 in China. The 2nd (Mr. Chu Ying Piao) and 3rd (Mr. William Chu, Ms. Lily Chu and so on) generation of the Chu family has power on the Chutex group which is knitted garment manufacturers in Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, China and Malaysia).In addition, Actex International Ltd is a shareholder of Chutex Enterprises (Kunshan) Co. Ltd in China with principal personnel consisting of Mrs. Chu Kuo-Fang Nee, Mr. Chu Siong Hwa and Mr. Chu Ying Piao. It is likely to have relationship between Actex and the Chu family. If so, the Chutex group, including Chutex in Vietnam, is owned by this family. These imply that its key managers and key shareholders have over 40 years' experience in this industry.
