Cong Ty Co Phan Hop Tac Kinh Te Va Xuat Nhap Khau Savimex is a company located in Ho Chi Minh municipality. It was established on August 29, 1985 under the name Saigon-Vientianne import export company (SAVIMEX). Over the years, the company has expanded its market to countries such as the Soviet Union, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. They export products such as floorboards, round wood, and sawn timber, while importing chemicals, machinery, and equipment. In 1992, Savimex cooperated with Japan New Furniture (JNF) to export refined wood production to Japan. They also established Saviwoodtech factory in cooperation with Marunaka in 1993. In 1995, they established SAVIDECOR, specializing in design, interior decoration, and high-quality interior woodwork for the domestic market. Savimex owns the first wood processing factory in Vietnam to be issued with a certificate of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001. They also established a carton pack production enterprise (SaviPack) in 2007 and a wood processing joint venture company in Laos in 2008. In 2014, Savimex was invested by ELAND group with the goal of becoming a leading company in the wood industry.
