Cong Ty Co Phan Than Coc Sau-Vinacomin, also known as Vinacomin - Coc Sau Coal Joint Stock Company, is located in Cam Pha Commune, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. The company was granted business registration No. 110949 on October 19th, 1996 by the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning Committee. Its main business lines include coal exploitation, processing, and selling. The company operates in an area of 16 square kilometers and is managed by VINACOMIN - TKV. It was previously a coal site during the French colonial period from 1907 to 1955 and later belonged to the Cam Pha coal mine from 1955 to 1960. In August 1960, it was established as Coc Sau Coal Enterprise. In 1996, it became an independent accounting member of VINACOAL and was renamed Coc Sau Coal Company in September 2001. The company is now the largest unit of open coal exploitation in Vietnam.
