Nam Mu Hydropower Joint Stock Company is located in Tan Thanh commune, Bac Quang district, Ha Giang province. It was invested by Song Da Corporation with the aim of exploiting the hydropower potential of Nam Mu stream. The construction of the hydropower plant started on February 18, 2004, and was completed in 2 years. The plant has a total capacity of 2MW and supplies electricity to the national grid. The main business of the company is to produce and supply electricity under a long-term contract with Vietnam Electricity. In addition, the company is also involved in the construction of hydropower projects, consultancy services, construction and installation works, real estate business, and trading of building materials and consumer goods.
