Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation (FHS) is a Vietnam-based integrated steel producer and the flagship steel investment of Taiwan's Formosa Plastics Group, operating a major steel complex in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province. The company runs a vertically integrated production chain that includes coking, sintering, blast furnace ironmaking, basic oxygen steelmaking, continuous casting, and rolling, supported by dedicated utilities and the Son Duong deep-water port system. FHS's core products are flat and long steel materials, led by hot-rolled coil and hot-rolled band steel for industrial manufacturing, as well as construction steels such as rebar and wire rod. The complex is designed for large-scale output, with hot-rolling capacity in the multi-million-ton range and ongoing expansion to increase total crude steel capacity through additional blast furnace phases. FHS supplies Vietnam's domestic market-particularly downstream sectors such as construction, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing-and exports material to regional and global customers via its port-linked logistics infrastructure.
